Wright, Zbikowski named NEAC All-Conference

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its 2010 Women's Volleyball All-Conference teams over the weekend, naming Morrisville State College's Nicole Wright (Dryden, NY) and Deanna Zbikowski (North Syracuse, NY) to its first and second team, respectively.



Wright, senior outside hitter, received first team honors following a 227 kill, 17 service ace, 223 defensive dig and 22 block season for the Mustangs. She posted a 2.55 kill and 2.51 dig per game average in 89 games while completing the season with an overall 9th rank in hitting percentage and 8th rank in kills in the conference.



The graduate of Dryden High is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Becky Ayers of Dryden.



Zbikowski, freshman setter, earned second team honors following her performance this season. In 100 games for the Mustangs, Zbikowski tallied 50 kills, 501 assists, 48 service aces, 95 digs, and 19 blocks. She posted a team high 5.01 assists per game average while tallying 0.95 digs per game.



The graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High is majoring in environmental and natural resources conservation at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Sandy and Mark Gorthey of North Syracuse.



Morrisville State completed the 2010 season with a 7-23 overall record, posting a 2-6 record in the North Division of conference play.
