Santa and Mrs. Claus will be arriving in the village of Morrisville on Dec. 4 for the annual Christmas tree lighting and carol sing.

The free event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Crouse Community Center on South Street. The campus and village are invited to participate in the event, which will be held regardless of local weather-related school closings.

Following the lighting of the Christmas tree, which is being provided by Morrisville State College, there will be horse-drawn wagon rides and photo opportunities with Santa. Light refreshments will be served.

Prior to the tree lighting, the Morrisville State College Howlett Carillon will be playing traditional Christmas carols.

There will also be carol singing with the Morrisville-Eaton Elementary School Choir.

The event is sponsored by the Campus/Community Relations Committee which is comprised of local business representatives from the village of Morrisville and faculty, staff and students at Morrisville State College who plan and sponsor special community events throughout the year such as the Easter egg hunt, winter fest, Halloween parade, Christmas tree lighting and open mic nights.
