MORRISVILLE, NY— Morrisville State College visitors can now explore the campus up-close through a new virtual tour hosted by YouVisit, a leading virtual reality technology provider.

Prospective students and parents can take a virtual walking tour of the campus that includes a 360-degree view and virtual reality component. Users can explore various campus stops along the tour through videos and pictures.

“We know that our beautiful campus and state-of-the-art facilities are a big reason why students attend Morrisville State College,” said Robert Blanchet, dean of admission. “This virtual tour allows us to showcase our campus to a broader range of prospective students on commonly used digital platforms. New populations of students, who might not otherwise experience a campus visit, will now be able to virtually tour campus from afar.”

MSC’s action-oriented learning labs and true-to-life facilities, many of which are rare or one-of-a-kind in higher education, allow students to engage in ways that go beyond the traditional classroom environment. The tour provides an up-close look at how students are building exciting careers through their real-world experiences at MSC.

Among the stops is the college’s aquaculture center, which boasts aquaculture and hydroponics systems where peppers, basil, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, trout, carp, lettuce and tilapia are produced. Also included in the tour is the equine rehabilitation center, a live learning laboratory where students are actively involved in implementing rehabilitation techniques to keep healthy horses conditioned and to help injured equine athletes recover post injury.
