Morrisville State College is featuring an art exhibit, Agricultural Acts, in the Donald G. Butcher Library gallery through April 2.

The display, which focuses on food and farming, includes a number of artists from the local area featuring work from a variety of genres. A reception for the artists will be held in the gallery on March 4 from 5-6:30 p.m.

Fernando Mastrangelo, a professional artist who works in food-based media, will be showing some of his pieces in the art exhibit and will also create new ones while he is on campus. His work engages many themes, including the politics and place of food.

The theme of the exhibit centers on an upcoming symposium, Agricultural Acts: On the Futures of Farming and Food, which will be held at Morrisville State College and Colgate University on April 22.

The symposium and art exhibit are free and open to the public.

The Donald G. Butcher Library at Morrisville State College is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to midnight, Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, noon to 6 p.m., Sunday 1 to 10 p.m.
