We have received results from all pooled saliva testing conducted Tuesday, March 16. We had a total of five (5) positive pools this week: Residential Students (3) and Commuter Students (2).

Affected individuals have been informed and precautionary quarantine notices have been sent out. Case investigation and contact tracing will begin once reflex testing results are available. All other pools were negative.

We remain very concerned with the level of positive cases in recent weeks. We urge all students and employees to please continue to practice physical distancing, properly wear face coverings over your mouth and nose and participate in weekly testing so we can contain the spread of COVID-19. SUNY System sanctions for noncompliance also remain in place and are designed to hold individuals more accountable for behavior that creates a greater risk of spreading COVID-19.

Mandatory pooled saliva testing continues on "Testing Tuesday" in the Rec Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for all students and employees. Norwich Campus testing is every Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A reminder as well that all SUNY Morrisville employees — including MAC and student employees — are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Appointments remain available at Madison County Health Department vaccine clinics being held today and Monday in both Morrisville and Chittenango, as well as through ongoing New York State-run clinics.

More information is available on the college's COVID-19 webpages. SUNY also maintains a comprehensive dashboard of COVID-19 testing and infection rate status across the system and at each campus.

Thank you for complying with testing and daily screening requirements (Campus COVID Screening app for employees) to keep the campus safe.
