Two Join Morrisville State College Staff

Two Syracuse residents have joined the Morrisville State College staff.



Melissa Reider is executive director of Advancement and College Relations.



Amy Roberts is director of Public Relations.



In her new role, Reider oversees fundraising, public relations, alumni affairs, government relations, and career services.



A native of Sherburne, N.Y., Reider previously worked at LeMoyne College and most recently served as director of development at Onondaga Community College (OCC). As development director, Reider led OCC's capital campaign and was responsible for all fundraising.



Her wealth of experience and expertise in many areas of fundraising includes grant writing and annual giving.



“Morrisville has a wonderful track record of educating a diverse body of students and a growing tradition of philanthropy among its more than 50,000 alumni. I am proud to be part of the team,” Reider said.



A graduate of Lemoyne College and a graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse, Reider and her husband, Lindsey, live in Syracuse. They have two children.



Roberts oversees the college's strategic marketing and public relations efforts, as well as event planning.



Roberts' extensive marketing experience includes five years at ABC Creative Group of Syracuse, serving most recently as public relations director. She was also a project manager for DestiNY USA.



A member of the Syracuse Ad Club, Roberts has served in a variety of capacities, including as co-president and was chair of the Syracuse Advertising Awards and ADDY competition.



Roberts earned a bachelor degree in communications applications with a concentration in marketing/public relations from the State University of New York, College at Brockport.
