SUNY Morrisville features one of the most distinctive equine programs in the country, thanks in part to our exceptional facilities.

The Sheila Johnson Hunt Seat and Riding Arena is home to SUNY Morrisville Hunt Seat Riding, boasting an indoor arena specifically designated for English riding and training of hunters and jumpers.

Named after iconic entrepreneur and major college benefactor Sheila Johnson, the facility is located on Fearon Road as part of the Equine Institute complex, which also includes a breeding facility for Standardbred and thoroughbred horses.

SUNY Morrisville also features a hunt seat equestrian team which competes in Region III of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
