Facilities
Welcome to SUNY Morrisville Marine Lab. In this laboratory space, we have several small-scale recirculating saltwater systems for the study of marine organisms. The marine ornamental trade consists of thousand of species and we are interested in specific breeding protocols and larval care. Projects in this space are student-driven research projects. Current projects include lined seahorse larval development, clownfish breeding genetics, orchid dottyback breeding, and larval feeding.
A 6,000-square-foot residential construction laboratory contains framing, plumbing and heating, masonry and electrification labs. Students also have access to a variety of finish-carpentry facilities and a computer lab with AutoCAD and LandCADD software.
At the western riding arena, students improve their technique and teach their horses new skills.
