Have a clever business idea? The 10th Annual Cotton Family Business Idea Competition is giving SUNY Morrisville students a chance to take their idea to the next level — and earn cash prizes.

Prizes are $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second place and $750 for third place.

Students will submit their application online, where a panel of judges will review the entries. The top six finalists will be selected to present their ideas on Wednesday, April 15 at 4 p.m. in the Hospitality Suite.

During the presentation, students will briefly describe their business concept and address several key questions:
•    What problem does your product, service or business idea solve?
•    Who will benefit from your product or service?
•    What are the benefits of your product or service?
•    What would be required to make your idea a reality? Is it feasible?

Students may enter individually or as a team. Applications are due by March 25 and must be submitted through the Morrisville webpage. To apply, visit: https://www.morrisville.edu/cotton-family-business-idea-competition.

The six finalists will be selected from the preliminary round by April 2 and notified by email.
