The Morrisville State College women's softball team boosted their conference record to 8-4, sweeping rival Cazenovia College in double-header action by 6-2 and 8-7 final scores Tuesday afternoon in Morrisville. Morrisville State has a 11-13 overall record, and continues to be a threat in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), currently ranking third overall in the North Division.

Morrisville State improves to 9-2 overall, and remain undefeated in conference play at 5-0. Cazenovia drops to 4-8 overall, 2-3 in NEAC action.
Visiting Keuka College women's lacrosse posted 10 first half goals and added four more in the second, en route to a 14-4 conference victory over Morrisville State College Sunday afternoon in Morrisville. Morrisville State falls to 5-6 overall, 5-1 in conference action, while Keuka improves to 8-1, and remains undefeated in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) West play at 6-0.

The win pulls the Mustangs to 5-5 overall, as they remain undefeated in conference action with a 5-0 record. Wells College drops to 6-5 overall, and 4-1 in NAC action.
The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team used seven unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to escape Medaille College 19-18 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Saturday afternoon in Morrisville. Morrisville State improves to 8-2 overall, 4-0 in NEAC action, while Medaille drops to 3-8, 2-3 in conference play. Morrisville State held the three goal advantage over the Mavericks at the half, but Medaille tallied six unanswered scores in the third to take a 14-12 lead over the Mustangs after three.
Morrisville State College hunt seat rider, Teal Pederson (Manorville, NY) has earned a chance to compete for a national title in May at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championships held in Lexington, Kentucky. Pederson initially placed third in the intermediate equitation over fences class at the Zone Championships on Saturday, but advances due to an ineligible rider that placed first in the class. Pederson will be showing in the morning of May 5th.
The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its student-athletes of the week, naming Morrisville State College's Hillary Hartnett (Fairport, NY) it's West Division Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 10. This is the second time Hartnett has received the award this season. Hartnett led Morrisville State to a 2-0 week (2-0 in conference play). In two games, Hartnett combined for 11 goals on 20 shots and an assist, while collecting 11 ground balls.
The Morrisville State College hunt seat team placed all four riders at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Zone Championships Saturday at St. Lawrence University, ending their 2010-11 season. Teal Pedersen (Manorville, NY) played third overall in the intermediate equitation over fences and sixth in the intermediate equitation on the flat classes. Kathryn Galyon (Pearl River, NY) was third overall in the walk trot canter class, while Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, NY) was fifth in walk trot.

In the bottom of the first inning of game one of the day, Nicole Geier (Mayfield, NY) stole home to score the lone run of the game to give Morrisville State the victory.
