The Morrisville State College women's lacrosse team picked up their fourth straight victory, rolling to a 17-4 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over Wilson College Sunday afternoon in Morrisville. The Mustangs improve to 4-4 overall, and remain undefeated in conference action at 4-0. Wilson drops to 0-9 overall, 0-5 in NEAC play. Morrisville State tallied the first four goals of the contest before Wilson was able to put one on the board, but the Mustangs responded with four additional scores for the 8-1 advantage at the half.
The Morrisville State College women's lacrosse team posted a come-from-behind conference victory Saturday afternoon, netting the 11-8 win over Medaille College in Buffalo. The win boosts the Mustangs to a 3-4 overall record, 3-0 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) – West Division action. Medaille dropped to 2-4 overall, 1-3 in conference play. Medaille had a 5-1 advantage midway through the first period, before Morrisville State rattled off three straight to cut the lead to one a the break.
The Morrisville State College softball team dropped their fourth straight Saturday afternoon, falling to conference opponent Keuka College in double header action 3-2 and 9-2, in Keuka Park. Morrisville State drops to 5-9 overall, 2-4 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. Keuka remains undefeated at 4-0. In game one, Cassandra Smith (Lansing, NY) hit a double in the top of the sixth inning to drive in two, giving Morrisville State the 2-0 lead over the Storm, but Keuka responded with two matching runs in the bottom of the inning.

The Morrisville State College softball team dropped two conference games Friday afternoon to SUNY IT in Morrisville by a 5-2 and 13-0 final. Morrisville State drops to 5-7 overall, 2-2 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. SUNY IT improves to 10-3 overall, 6-0 in conference play. Morrisville State held a 2-1 lead over the top ranked conference team after six innings, but SUNY IT rallied for the game tying run in the top of the seventh to force the extra frame.
The Morrisville State College athletic department has named freshman Lesa Ward (South Glens Falls, NY) and sophomore Kayla Walker (Oneida, NY), its Mustang Co-Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 3. Ward, midfielder for the women's lacrosse team, contributed to their 2-1 week, netting three goals apiece in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) wins over Abington and St. Elizabeth this weekend.
The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its student-athletes of the week, naming Morrisville State College's Hillary Hartnett (Fairport, NY) its NEAC Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 3. Hartnett led Morrisville State to a 2-1 week, 2-0 in conference play, netting 16 goals, three assists and picking up 18 ground balls in three games. In the win over Abington, she posted a collegiate best performance, leading the Mustangs with seven goals and an assist, while tallying 10 ground balls.
The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team advanced three riders in four classes to the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Zone Championships following competition on Saturday at the Regional Championships in Saratoga Springs. Morrisville State finished second overall as a team in regional competition. Morrisville State crowned two regional champions, including Teal Pedersen (Manorville, NY) in the intermediate equitation on the flat class and Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, NY) in the walk trot class.
