Fall 2020 Return to Campus - COVID-19 Food and Dining Arrangements

As we approach the start of the fall semester, we will share a series of messages to ensure that you have answers to as many of your questions as possible before returning to campus. Please find below information regarding dining services. The complete return-to-campus plan, which has received approval from SUNY system and meets the New York State Department of Health's Reopening New York Higher Education Guidelines, is available on our Fall 2020 Reopening Plans and Updates webpage. Please recognize that all plans are still subject to change due to new information, guidance or direction from the state.  

For all dining locations, please remember to wash your hands before and after eating a meal. Please clean and wipe down your eating area as best as possible, and remember to practice physical distancing while eating. No food or drink will be allowed in classrooms

Seneca Dining Hall

Seneca Dining Hall will be available for take-out only for the fall semester. No in-house seating will be provided. Students will swipe in for each meal, receive disposable dining ware (cutlery, cups, etc.) and enter the dining room. Each serving station will be partitioned off to ensure proper physical distancing.

Proper entrance and exit areas and directional traffic flow will be marked throughout the building.

Hours of Operation:

•    Monday-Thursday: 7 a.m.-8 p.m.

•    Friday: 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

•    Saturday-Sunday: 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Mustang Alley

Mustang Alley will be marked with a designated entrance and orders will be placed at the Field of Greens station. Once orders are placed, patrons must exit Mustang Alley through the designated exit area until their order is ready. 

When an order is ready, an order number will show on the monitors located in the Student Activities Center (STUAC) lobby. Patrons will then reenter Mustang Alley at the main entrance in a designated pick-up line, pick up their food order and exit through the designated exit area. No in-house seating will be available.

A mobile ordering option is being developed for this location. More information will be made available as that develops.

•    Monday-Friday: 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

•    Saturday-Sunday: 4:30 p.m.-10 p.m.

The Pit Stop

A maximum of 15 customers are allowed into The Pit Stop at one time, with physical distancing protocols in place.  

Hours of Operation:

•    Monday-Wednesday: 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

•    Thursday and Friday: 7:30 a.m.-11 p.m.

•    Saturday: 4 p.m.-11 p.m.

•    Sunday: Closed

Smooth Jazzy Joz

Smooth Jazzy Joz will be open, with physical distancing protocols in place throughout STUAC lobby. 

Hours of Operation:

•    Monday-Friday: 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

•    Saturday-Sunday: 2 p.m.-9 p.m.

Market24

Market24, an automated convenience store vending machine, carries a wide variety of food and beverages, in addition to health & beauty aids and cleaning supplies. Available 24 hours a day, the Market24 vending stores are located near Seneca Dining Hall and South Hall

Copper Turret Restaurant

Copper Turret Restaurant will offer in-house seating at 50% capacity, with groups being limited to 10 people. Reservations are recommended.  

A mobile ordering option is being developed for this location. More information will be made available as that develops.

•    Monday-Thursday: 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m.

•    Friday-Saturday: 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m.

Wearing a mask or face covering and practicing physical distancing wherever possible are the best ways to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Students and employees are required to wear face coverings when in all public spaces and spaces used by multiple people.
