Human Performance & Health Promotion A.S.

Students learning to administer physical therapy

Shape your career.

As a student in our Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program in human performance & health promotion, your love of physical fitness and your interest in helping people can boost you into a fast-growing industry.

Our HPHP Exercise Laboratory gives you access to a full range of the latest fitness and analysis equipment in a live exercise environment to provide a true hands-on learning experience.

Our unique program features two exercise physiology classes that give you a complete understanding of the body’s response to exercise. The curriculum also provides you with a strong foundation in math and science, along with fitness-related classes in general fitness and wellness and exercise physiology.

Enhance your college experience even further by joining the Human Performance & Health Promotion Club, dedicated to providing social and professional development for its members, as well as promoting health and fitness on campus and in the community.

When you graduate, you’ll be ready to work in a variety of positions found in fitness centers, recreational facilities and corporate wellness programs, or be prepared for trainer certification from the American College of Sports Medicine.

You can also choose to continue your studies through SUNY Morrisville’s Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree program in human performance & health promotion.
