- Ask Questions about what NaNoWriMo is, get set up with an account and join the writer's group. Get your project for the month under way!
- Wednesday, April 15 from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. EST: Virtual Write-In: Halfway Marker Event
- Check in halfway through the event and collaborate with fellow writers. Talk about inspiration, your progress, or just log in to hold yourself accountable and on track!
- Thursday, April 30 from 5 p.m. - 11:59 p.m. EST: Virtual Write-In: Last Chance Event
- This is it! The final hours of writing to meet your goals for the Camp NaNoWriMo month! Log in for support, sharing your creations, and more!
The SUNY Morrisville Library would like to encourage the campus and community to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo! For anyone interested in getting down to some writing for the month of April, Camp NaNoWriMo will start on April 1! Camp NaNoWriMo is an extension of November's National Novel Writing Month where writers can join virtual groups to support each other in their writing goals! Throughout the month of April, the Library will host several "write-ins": virtual meet-ups via Blackboard Collaborate to discuss our writing accomplishments, storyboard our projects, and come together to mutually support the writing process. Whether you're working on a piece of creative writing, or gearing up for that capstone project report, Camp NaNoWriMo is a place for you to set goals and achieve them alongside your fellow SUNY Morrisville writers. Use it as a mechanism and tool to de-stress! According to NaNoWriMo, "National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing."
