A celebration of Community Service and Service Learning through Founders’ Day activities

Activities in the Village of Morrisville, 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.

SUNY Morrisville students and Morrisville-Eaton Central School students join together for a community service activity in the Village of Morrisville.


Activities in the STUAC Lobby and other areas on campus, 2 - 4:30 p.m.

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkins will be donated to Crouse Community Center. (Sponsored by MOVE)

Make-Your-Own Caramel or Chocolate Apples

(Sponsored by MAC, SGO)

Candy Bag Stuffing

Bags will be used in the campus/community Halloween Parade of Costumes. (Sponsored by ASUBA, CASU, LASO and Mo’Pride)

Craft Packets for Children’s Hospital

(Sponsored by SGO)

Pay-It-Forward

Receive pay-it-forward bracelets to do kind acts and pay it forward. (Sponsored by Mo’Pride)

Making Ghost Lollipops

Children’s Book Drive for Morrisville Village Library

Donations of new or gently used children’s books are currently being accepted and can be dropped off at the following sites: the Library circulation desk, the Student Activities offices located at the lower level of STUAC, and the CSTEP office area in Helyar Hall. Donations currently being accepted through October 25. (Sponsored by the Criminal Justice Club)

Cards for Crouse Community Center Residents

Family Care Baskets

Students at the Norwich Campus are making Family Care Baskets containing various healthy items, including vegetables donated by the College Farm and blankets created by a GNED 100 class. These baskets will be donated to families struggling to keep up with all of life’s challenges. 

Crouse Community Center

Nursing students will be providing manicures and sharing stories with residents.

Food Drive for Morrisville Food Pantry

Donations of cans and nonperishable food items can be dropped off in boxes located in front of school and administrative offices. Donations currently being accepted through November 19. (Sponsored by three FYE classes)
