An exciting place you can explore year-round is our campus arboretum, a three-acre preserve behind Brooks Hall.
The attractive setting, established in 1939, contains nearly 100 native, exotic, and ornamental tree and shrub species and is a living learning laboratory for students, as well as a quiet place to study.
The SUNY Morrisville Dairy Complex is a free-stall dairy facility which houses 160 milking cows and is used for teaching, demonstration, and student projects. It is equipped with an electronically-enhanced milking parlor and a student-managed computer system. Also featuring two heifer barns, a calf barn and a show barn, the facility is entirely serviced by a plug-flow anaerobic digester that processes animal waste and produces electrical power.
The SUNY Morrisville automotive facilities are up to speed with the ever-changing auto industry, offering the latest in technology and equipment.
Our 14,000-square-foot Auto Body Technology Building houses the most current tools and equipment for collision repair and metal fabrication. Set up as a real-world auto body shop, you will perform live laboratory work and help staff a parts department and live service desk to gain experience with repairs, refinishing and estimating.
Our Automotive Technology Building, a 50,000-square-foot facility replicating an auto dealership, also provides true-to-life experiences through numerous repair stations and a new vehicle showroom. The technologically sophisticated environment features the latest in new vehicle diagnostic equipment and offers:
One of the first campus buildings you see as you head towards campus from Route 20 is Bailey Annex, home to college’s Nursing Department and the SUNY Morrisville Children’s Center.
Originally built in the 1960s as a second floor on stilts, the building’s first floor was closed during the mid-1990s to accommodate the Children’s Center.
Nostalgia adds to our college environment.
Bailey Hall, one of the campus’s original buildings, is a lecture hall which garners attention through its beautifully restored smart classrooms and its original marble staircases between floors.
One of the campus’s original buildings, Bicknell Hall houses classrooms for the Environmental Sciences Department as well as the college’s Wildlife Museum.
Located on the far right of the buildings that line the campus along the south side of Route 20, Bicknell Hall has been home to numerous college departments and facilities, including the former musical instrument technology program.
Charlton Hall, named for former Director Isaiah Charlton, is home to many programs as well as interactive classrooms and the college’s Instructional Technology Department.
More than 70 years old, the building underwent extensive renovations from 2015 to 2017. Now, students from various academic programs can collaborate in labs and classrooms that make possible cross-disciplinary interaction.
The Clinical Simulation Learning Center at the Morrisville campus and the nursing laboratory at the Norwich campus have video recording technology to enable students to reflect and self-evaluate during post-simulation debriefing sessions. Application of problem-solving skills in a realistic and safe environment offers students an innovative learning experience.
This demonstration and research facility serves as a living laboratory for SUNY Morrisville students. The 4,000-gallon aquaponics system can produce up to 22,000 heads of lettuce and 1,700 pounds of fish per year. Vine crop production includes a hydroponic tomato, cucumber and pepper system.
The system was supported by NY State Sen. David J. Valesky (D-Oneida) through the Empire State Development Corporation and a grant from the New York State Energy Research and Development.
Crawford Hall, the largest lecture hall on campus, also contains some of the college’s largest classrooms.
Named for former bursar Jack Crawford and current professor of biology Dr. Shirley Crawford, the building also houses the college’s Environmental Training Center and the simulation lab for the criminal justice program.
The newly renovated Dairy and Specialty Crops Incubator, located on Eaton Street near the Sheila Johnson Welcome Center, is a state-of-the-art facility with a custom Cannabox growth Pod for year-round specialty crops production.
Through its innovative learning environment and dedicated staff, the SUNY Morrisville Library is committed to helping you become a confident and independent thinker guided by the effective use of information resources.
The 34,000-square-foot Equine Breeding and Training Center serves as a breeding and hunter/jumper facility and includes a breeding and foaling barn, hunter/jumper barn, stallion barn, a complete breeding laboratory, collection area, laptop classroom, and three indoor riding arenas.
SUNY Morrisville features one of the most distinctive equine programs in the country, thanks in part to our exceptional facilities.
The Sheila Johnson Hunt Seat and Riding Arena is home to SUNY Morrisville Hunt Seat Riding, boasting an indoor arena specifically designated for English riding and training of hunters and jumpers.
This 40,000-square-foot Equine Rehabilitation Arena, located at the college’s Equine Rehabilitation Center (ERC), offers a local exercise and training facility for horses that are treated at the ERC.
The SUNY Morrisville Equine Rehabilitation Center (ERC) showcases the college’s signature equine facilities. One of the few publicly accessible equine rehabilitation facilities in the Northeast, the ERC offers equipment and rehabilitation techniques to keep healthy horses conditioned, and to help injured equine athletes recover post-injury or post-surgery.
With a capacity of 40 horses, the Equine Rehabilitation Stable serves primarily as a boarding facility for visiting horses while they undergo rehabilitation at the SUNY Morrisville Equine Rehabilitation Center (ERC).
Located three miles west of the Morrisville campus on Route 20, the ERC’s extensive laboratories and state-of-the-art equipment offer rehabilitation services that are among the finest in the nation.
The SUNY Morrisville Four Seasons Organic Farm, operated and maintained by the college's Horticulture Department, is a certified organic farm that provides students with hands-on educational experience through year-round crop production.
Galbreath Hall houses mechanical and electrical engineering laboratories, classrooms and faculty offices, and the college’s Print Shop.
Named after Malcolm Galbreath, third director of the college from 1938 to 1957, Galbreath Hall is located on South Street between Oneida Hall and Bailey Hall.
The George A. Spader Horticulture Complex offers state-of-the-art amenities available to students, including:
The Draft and Driving Facility includes an 18-stall barn, 60-foot covered round pen, hot walker, turn-out paddocks and a 6-acre training field with an adjoining trail. This facility is home to the college’s Belgian hitch, the only competing collegiate hitch in North America.
