Ater named Mustang Athlete of the Week

The Morrisville State College athletic department has named sophomore forward, Kucjok Ater (Syracuse, NY) the Mustang Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 11.



Ater assisted the men's basketball team to a 1-1 week, tallying 28 points, 18 rebounds, five assists and four blocks in two games.



In the conference win over Keuka, Ater posted 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, assisting three and blocking three, while hitting a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. He followed with a 14 point performance, adding eight rebounds and two assists in the two-point loss to Clarkson on Friday.



Ater is currently third on the team in scoring (11.3 points per game) and is second in rebounding (5.6 per game). He is ranked third in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) in blocked shots (13).



The 2010 graduate of Bishop Grimes High School is majoring in individual studies at Morrisville State. He is the son of Persikila Depmac.
