March, Ater and Renaud earn Mustang Athlete of the Week honors

The Morrisville State College athletic department has named women's basketball forward, Jenna March (Munnsville, N.Y.) the female athlete of the week; with men's basketball forward Kucjok Ater (Syracuse, N.Y.) and ice hockey forward Curtis Renaud (Carlisle, Ontario) the male Co-Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 29.



March was instrumental in the conference victory over Cazenovia on Saturday, netting 12 points and grabbing eight rebounds (seven on the offensive glass), hitting 6-of-8 shots from the floor on the day. She also tallied an assist and two steals. March surpassed the career record for blocks, recording her 89th career blocked shot against Wells.



While majoring in nursing at Morrisville State, March earned Dean's List and President's List honors, and has been named to the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Scholar-Athlete Team.



March is the daughter of Denise and Michael March of Munnsville.



Ater played a key role in a 2-0 week for the men's basketball team, combining for 27 points, seven rebounds, three assists, four blocked shots and two steals in conference play. In the win over Wells, Ater hit 5-of-9 from the floor for an 11 point, five rebound, and three blocked shot performance, before leading the way in the win over rival Cazenovia with 16 points to keep Morrisville State undefeated in conference play at 8-0.



The sophomore is majoring in individual studies at Morrisville State. He is the son of Persikila Depmac of Syracuse.



Renaud tallied three goals and an assist for the Mustangs hockey team in conference play over the weekend. In the loss to Fredonia, Renaud tallied both Mustang scores, including one on the power play opportunity for Morrisville State. On Saturday he added a goal and assist within 23 seconds, as the Mustangs battled against Buffalo State.



Renaud is currently second on the team in scoring with eight goals and five assists for 13 team points.



The sophomore is majoring in business administration at Morrisville State. He is the son of Anne and Larry Renaud of Carlisle, Ontario.
