Men's cross country finishes 9th out of 13 teams at the Geneseo Cross Country Invitational

The Morrisville State College men's cross country team placed 9th out of 13 teams at the 33rd Annual Geneseo Cross Country Invitational 8K held Saturday, October 1.



Austin Townsley (Horseheads, N.Y.) led the Mustangs, placing 38th out of 160 runners with a time of 27:52.9 (5:37 mile pace). Greg Johnsmeyer (West Hurley, N.Y.) followed, placing 58th with a time of 28:21.2 (5:43 mile pace). Next to finish for Morrisville State was Ben Sargrad (Manlius, N.Y.), who finished 87th with a time of 29:28.5 (5:56 mile pace).



Rounding out the scoring for the Mustangs was Malcolm Legloahec (Brunswick, M.E.), who placed 112th with a time of 30:58.7 (6:14 mile pace) and Dakota Nelson (Smyrna, N.Y.) who finished 118th with a time of 31:34.6 (6:22 mile pace).



The Morrisville State cross country teams are back on the course in two weeks for the CCOC Championship being held at William Smith College on Saturday, October 15.
