The Morrisville State College men’s soccer team has partnered up with the Italian American Coalition for Kids (IACKids), as part of the programs continued community outreach, in their contest scheduled Saturday, Oct. 6, against Penn State Berks on the Morrisville State campus.

Every day, families are faced with serious hardships due to a child’s serious illness, extended hospital stay or other unfortunate circumstance. Morrisville State has teamed up with IACKids in an effort to raise funds and awareness for families who encounter financial hardship due to the illness of their young children, and has made it their goal, along with IACKids, to empower the community to give back to those families in need, in an effort to make a positive impact in their lives during trying times.

The men’s soccer program has begun fundraising efforts with an IPad 3 Raffle, and will continue to raise awareness and donations throughout the season, wrapping up the IACKids campaign at their home match against Penn State Berks.

A commemorative IACKids jersey auction, prize raffles, silent auctions and general gate donations will assist their efforts. Team members have secured items for the silent auction that include an Abby Wambach autographed t-shirt, Men’s National Team items autographed by former team captain Tab Ramos, and several more.

T-shirts will be given to the first 100 fans at the event, and Empire United Revolution of Utica will be competing at halftime.
