Morrisville State seniors close regular season with 9-4 win over Vassar

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team concluded their regular season with a 9-4 non-conference victory over visiting Vassar College Friday night in Morrisville.



The Mustangs improve to 11-3 overall while Vassar drops to 5-9.



Morrisville State led 3-1 at the half before posting three goals apiece in the third and fourth quarters to claim the win.



Thomas Owens (Cazenovia, NY) and Devin Maxwell (Culver City, CA) each netted two goals to lead the Mustangs, as five additional teammates tallied one apiece, including Dean Priest (Hinesburg, VT) who added two assists to his tallies.



Michael Hinchey (Lake Katrine, NY) recorded the win in net, saving 13.



Four posted tallies for the Brewers, with Ryan McCarthy and Max Herman each adding an assist.



Alex Tice recorded the loss, posting eight saves in the first half. Andrew Nichol closed the game in net in the final 30, recording four saves.



The top seeded Mustangs return to the field Wednesday, hosting fourth seed Medaille College in the semi-final round of the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Tournament.
