The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its student-athletes of the week, naming Morrisville State College's Thomas Owens (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) its NEAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 27.
Owens led the Mustangs to a 2-0 week, including a 14-13 upset victory over SUNY Potsdam in overtime on Tuesday. On the week, he tallied seven goals on nine shots, three assists, and five individual ground balls.
In the 15-10 conference win over Keuka on Saturday, Owens posted a collegiate best five goals and three assists.
Owens currently leads the Mustangs with 11 goals and four assists.
The sophomore attack is majoring in agricultural business development at Morrisville. He is the son of Karen and Tom Owens of Cazenovia.
