Women's soccer plays to a 1-1 tie against Bay Path

After playing a scoreless game until the 56th minute, the Mustangs and Wildcats settle for a 1-1 tie in the consolation game of the Canton Tournament.

Morrisville State struck first when Lindsay Peri (Marathon, N.Y.) netted Morrisville State’s first goal of the season with the assist going to Morgan Hewitt (Camden, N.Y.). The Mustangs held onto the lead for much of the second half, until Melissa Toler (Paso Robles, C.A.) scored for Bay Path with less than eight minutes remaining in the game.

Nicole Ogden (Springfield, M.A.) recorded the tie in net for Bay Path, tallying 12 saves. The Mustangs goalkeeper Jennifer Zidzik (Lambertville, N.J.) recorded the tie, tallying eight saves.

The Morrisville State women’s soccer team returns to action as they travel to play conference opponent Lancaster Bible on Friday, September 7 at 4 p.m.
