Morrisville State has been ranked among the Best Regional Colleges in the North in the U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges 2015 issue, a publication renowned for its higher education rankings. The college climbed a spot in this year's round of rankings from No. 44 (in 2014), to No. 43.
Morrisville State also reclaimed its No. 14 spot in the Top Public Schools, Regional Colleges North in the 2015 Best Colleges rankings.

Morrisville State's thirty-second annual Autumn Review Sale will be held on Sept. 20.
The sale, run by the Morrisville State Dairy Club, will start at 11 a.m. at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Building on Eaton Street in Morrisville.
One hundred and one lots will be sold on consignment at the sale. The majority for sale are Holstein (calves, cows, embryos, and picks), in addition to two jerseys and two milking shorthorns.

Morrisville State will hold its twenty-fifth annual Fall Yearling Sale Sept. 21 at noon at the college’s Nancy Sears Stowell Arena on Swamp Road. The preview day for the sale, the largest of its kind in New York State, is Sept. 20.
A total of 135 yearlings are up for sale. Eleven of them are being sold by the college: two yearlings of Cash Hall; four yearlings of RC Royalty; four yearlings of Conway Hall; and one of Crazed.

The work of CNY artist Lisa Iannello, of New Berlin, is on display at the Morrisville State Donald G. Butcher Library Gallery through Sept. 25.
Iannello's exhibit, “CNY Landscapes,” features 12 works ranging from representational to abstract images which are tempered with a deep appreciation of the natural wonder unique to the CNY region.

Morrisville State student, Vanessa Connally, of Morrisville, was recently awarded the Skål Albany Hospitality Scholarship. The $1,500 scholarship is based on academic achievement and campus involvement.

Sarah Bjork, of Cazenovia, is the new center director at ONCAMPUS SUNY at Morrisville State.
Bjork joined ONCAMPUS SUNY, an international program delivered in partnership with Cambridge Education Group (CEG) and operating under MSC's governance, from Upper Iowa University where she was the founding director of their Intensive English Program (IEP). In addition to administering the IEP, Bjork also taught and recruited students overseas.

Morrisville State men's lacrosse is making its mark in the global arena.
Head coach Jason Longo and assistant coach Tim Barth took their expertise to Scotland this summer to lead an American team in an international sports tournament. Three Morrisville State lacrosse players also represented the USA in lacrosse competition during the 10-day visit to Scotland which was arranged through USA Athletes International (USAAI).

Jason Zbock has been named executive director at the Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College. Zbock, of Bouckville, will take the helm Sept. 2.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the daily operations at the Norwich Campus.
Zbock has an extensive career in higher education, most recently serving as the dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Enrollment Planning at Broome Community College.

The Children's Center at Morrisville State will hold its sixth annual ChildRUN 5k race on Saturday, July 19. The event will also include a one-mile Fun Run/Walk.
Registration for the race begins at 8 a.m. the day of the event. The race starts at 8:30 a.m. at Bailey Hall, located on Route 20 in Morrisville.

Morrisville State professor Kim Smith has been selected to participate in the National League for Nursing (NLN) LEAD Institute, a yearlong program for faculty who have been fast-tracked to leadership roles at their academic institutions.
Smith, assistant professor, has worked at Morrisville State since 2006 and was recently named interim associate dean for nursing.

Morrisville State Professor Kerry Beadle, of Hamilton, recently received the Chef Professionalism Award from the Syracuse Chapter of the American Culinary Federation (ACF).
Beadle, assistant professor and chair of the college's Hospitality Technology Department and executive chef at the Copper Turret, a college-run restaurant, has worked at Morrisville since 1992.

Classified as a Leadership Action Program, Boys State accepts young men with outstanding qualifications in leadership, character, service and citizenship who reflect on the image of the youth of America.

Morrisville State is moving forward to partner with local and new businesses after their application was approved for Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s tax-free Start-Up NY plan.
Launched in October, Start-Up NY provides incentives for eligible businesses to relocate, start-up or expand tax-free on or near campus for 10 years and their employees will pay no state or local income taxes.
