Students are expected to attend and participate in all scheduled classes and laboratories. However, special circumstances such as illness, religious holidays, travel difficulties, family emergencies, military deployment and active participation in college-sponsored events, such as sports, may make certain absences unavoidable. A student maintains good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. Any student with a cumulative or semester grade point average of less than 2.0 may be issued an academic warning; placed on academic probation; or dismissed from the college.

Academic Warning is a designated academic status assigned to a student who is not in good academic standing as a result of not meeting GPA requirements.
