The Tutoring Center offers its NightOWL online tutoring service through Morrisville's membership in the STAR-NY (Sharing Tutoring and Academic Resources New York) Consortium. In addition to Morrisville, approximately twenty other colleges belong to STAR-NY. These member campuses hire tutors who can help students enrolled at any of the participating campuses.

The Tutoring Center organizes a series of workshops for students known as Student Success Seminars (SSS) during fall and spring semesters. These workshops explore topics that can be useful to any student regardless of their major or their courses. Temporary parking permits are issued to visitors and guests free of charge, but you must stop at the University Police Department to get the temporary permit. Temporary parking passes for students, faculty, staff, guests and visitors are available through NYS University Police’s administrative office Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A "blue light" emergency telephone system is located throughout the Campus. The telephone system provides a direct/automatic link to University Police.
In addition, students have a personal, direct link to University Police by dialing #87 or #UP on their AT&T phone no matter where they are on campus. Students can also dial 911 from their personal cell phone.

In an emergency situation, you will be asked to either shelter in place or evacuate.
Shelter In Place Means
All college personnel and students are to remain secured in the rooms they are currently in, and no one is allowed to leave until the situation has been resolved. This will allow University Police time to address building emergency/threat and reduce the risk of contact with any innocent bystanders in the immediate area.

SUNY Morrisville is a residential community and needs to remain open regardless of weather conditions. As a state office, the college may only close upon order by the Governor.
