Chancellor Johnson is excited to announce the first ever SUNY Chancellor Esports Challenge powered by Extreme Networks and hosted by LeagueSpot. It is an esports tournament open to all 64 SUNY schools designed to creatively involve students throughout this health crisis.

Chancellor Johnson has committed $10,000 and sponsor Extreme Networks has committed $10,000 – meaning that $20,000 in prizes are up for grabs. All prize money will be directed to the winning schools’ Student Emergency Fund. Participating students represent their respective colleges and Student Emergency Funds.

The tournament includes three games: Fortnite Duos PC (2 v. 2), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Switch (1 v. 1), & Rocket League PC (3 v. 3). Schools are limited to *two* teams per game. SUNY Morrisville will handle this on a first come, first serve basis. A team must register *in full* to be counted: contact information for each participant MUST be present to register the team. This event is open to students only.

Registration is live and closes on Friday, April 24!  The tournament begins Monday, April 27 and lasts for three weeks. Please register as soon as possible. The tournament rule book can be found on Google Drive and linked at the top of the event page.
