Morrisville State College student Hai Nguyen took top score in the spring semester New York State Mathematics Association of Two Year Colleges (NYSMATYC) Math League Competition.

Competing against 117 participants from 23 different schools, Nguyen, an architectural studies and design student from Vietnam, tallied a score of 55 to take the win for the semester.

The overall math competition is based on an individual score and a team score per semester and total combined individual score and team score for the full academic year. Nguyen's top score reflects the highest in the spring semester competition only.

Students in associate degree programs at Morrisville State College compete against students at two-year colleges from across the state in this annual math competition.
