Visiting Nazareth College field hockey used a five goal first half to top host Morrisville State College by a 7-3 final Friday afternoon in Morrisville.
Morrisville State falls to 2-11 overall, while the Golden Flyers improve to 2-9.
Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with a goal and two assists, while teammates Rebecca Meyer (Morrisville, N.Y.) and Rebecca Quackenbush (Barker, N.Y.) each added one tally apiece.

Visiting Oswego State dropped the first match and rallied to win the next three, claiming the 3-1 match win over Morrisville State College Wednesday night in Morrisville.
Morrisville State drops to 3-10 overall, while Oswego pulls even at 9-9.
The Mustangs topped the Lakers 25-22 in the first match before falling 13-25, 20-25 and 19-25 in the next three in the loss.

Despite giving up the first goal to Alfred University, the Morrisville State College men’s soccer team came back with three unanswered goals, to beat the Saxons 3-1 in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon.
After playing a scoreless first 30 minutes, Alfred University struck first when freshman Nicholas Carey scored off a pass from senior forward Eric Rockwood, giving the Saxons a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

The women's volleyball team won its second match in a row as the Hawks defeated SUNY Morrisville 3-1 (25-15, 25-17, 26-28, 25-18) on Tuesday evening at Lambros Arena on Dig Pink Night. With the win, Hartwick's record is now 5-11 while the Mustangs fall to 3-9.

Morrisville State College women’s volleyball dropped two matches Saturday afternoon at the SUNY Canton tri-match, falling 3-0 to host Canton, before suffering a 3-0 defeat to Oswego.
The Mustangs fall to 2-8 overall, and return to the court Tuesday, traveling to Hartwick for a non-conference match.
Canton claimed the first match with set scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-11 behind a nine kill performance by Jessica Reynolds.

Morrisville State College athletic director, Greg Carroll, has named Steven Kaneshiki the head coach of the women’s basketball program for the 2012-2013 season.
Kaneshiki comes to Morrisville State from The College at Brockport where he served as assistant coach for the past season, serving as recruiting coordinator while working with the post players and assisting with day-to-day operations of the program.

Four Morrisville State College students have been awarded the American Hotel and Lodging Association Scholarship (AHLEF).
The AHLEF scholarships are awarded to sophomore students based on academic performance, hospitality work experience, extracurricular involvement, financial need and personal attributes.

The Morrisville State College men’s soccer team has partnered up with the Italian American Coalition for Kids (IACKids), as part of the programs continued community outreach efforts. Proceeds from gate receipts on Saturday, Oct. 6 against Penn State Berks, along with raffles and the online jersey auction will benefit the program.
