Host SUNY Brockport posted two scores in the first 17 minutes of the contest to claim the 2-0 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory over visiting Morrisville State College field hockey Saturday afternoon in Brockport. Morrisville State drops to 1-7 overall, 0-3 in conference play, while the Golden Eagles improve to 4-2, and even their SUNYAC record at 1-1. Brockport posted the early 1-0 lead 9:26 into the contest on a score from Ashley Elmes before Taryn Rossi added another seven minutes later.
Four Morrisville State College students have been awarded the American Hotel and Lodging Association Scholarship (AHLEF). The AHLEF scholarships are awarded to sophomore students based on academic performance, hospitality work experience, extracurricular involvement, financial need and personal attributes.
The Morrisville State College men’s soccer team has partnered up with the Italian American Coalition for Kids (IACKids), as part of the programs continued community outreach efforts. Proceeds from gate receipts on Saturday, Oct. 6 against Penn State Berks, along with raffles and the online jersey auction will benefit the program.

Visiting Morrisville State College women’s volleyball battled tough Wednesday night but fell short as conference rival Cazenovia College collected the 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, and 25-23 in Cazenovia. Morrisville State drops to 1-3 overall, 0-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action. Cazenovia improves to 1-8 overall, 1-0 in NEAC play.

The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 0-5-1 overall with a 0-2 mark in NEAC play while the Mustangs improve to 4-2-1 overall with a 2-0-1 mark versus conference opponents.

The Fighting Tigers improve 2-5 overall with a 2-2 mark in conference action while the Mustangs fall to 0-5-1 overall including a 0-4 mark in NEAC play.
The Morrisville State College athletics department has named sophomores Lindsay Easterly (Cazenovia, N.Y.) and Jacob Chase (Cooperstown, N.Y.) it’s Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending September 16.
Senior forward Hope Krolewski (Bear Creek, Pa.) posted three goals and assisted another two to lead visiting Keystone College to a 6-3 victory over host Morrisville State College Wednesday evening in Morrisville. Morrisville State drops to 1-6 overall, while Keystone picks up their second win of 2012 to improve to 2-4.
