The Morrisville State College volleyball program is looking forward to moving in a new direction in 2012, under guidance of new head coach Fred Wallace.
Early on, the squad has been hard at work becoming familiar with newcomers to the team this season, as well as new systems that are being put into place. With a solid group returning to the roster, Wallace believes that the newcomers will also have a real shot at seeing time on the court.

A two-time all-conference team selection at striker, Pierre-Louis has appeared in 44 games for the Mustangs and has recorded 18 goals and three assists for a total of 39 points in three seasons.

Morrisville State College head coach, Becky Osier, has named Amy Mitchell assistant coach of the field hockey program for the 2012 season.
She will be working with the defensive unit and goalkeepers this season.
Mitchell played four-years for Kings College as a defender, starting three seasons. The co-captain and two-time Most Valuable Player for Kings was a three-time Middle Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team member. Mitchell also earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association Academic Team honors.
Morrisville State College head volleyball coach, Fred Wallace, has announced the addition of Juleah Vedder as assistant coach of the women’s program for the 2012-13 season.
Vedder comes to Morrisville State from Westmoreland High School, where she served as assistant coach for the varsity program last year.
A four-time North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) first team selection and two-time NEAC Player of the Year, Vedder set numerous records as a four-year starter at SUNYIT as an outside hitter, including kills, digs and service aces.
Final preparations are underway for the football season at Morrisville State, as they are scheduled to open the 2012 campaign at noon on Saturday, Sept. 1 against Wilkes University on the Morrisville State campus.
Four have been selected to lead the Morrisville State football squad, as seniors Jack Glen (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Tim Hammond (Hudson Falls, N.Y.) along with juniors Jeremy Stewart (Moravia, N.Y.) and Nate Ryan (Staten Island, N.Y.) have been named captains for the 2012 season.
