The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced the winners of the 2011-2012 President’s Cup during the conference’s annual spring meeting this week, with Morrisville State College claiming the men’s cup for the first time in the history of the program.

The Mustangs completed the 2012 season with a program best 13-6 overall record, claimed the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) West regular season title with a perfect 9-0 record, won the NAC West Championship Tournament title, and made a program first appearance in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Championship Tournament.

The Basketball Coaches Association of New York, Inc. announced its 2011-12 Division III Men's Basketball All-Star Teams, naming Morrisville State College sophomore, Mickey Davis (Jamesville, N.Y. / Jamesville-DeWitt), to its Upstate team. The 6-foot-5 forward led Morrisville State and the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) in scoring this season, averaging 17.5 points per game, while adding averages of 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.6 steals per game for the Mustangs.

Fourth seed Morrisville State men's lacrosse team posted a 18-9 victory over fifth seed Medaille College in the quarterfinal round of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Championship Tournament Wednesday afternoon in Morrisville, advancing to the semi-final round Saturday. Morrisville State (11-4) will face top seed McDaniel College (9-7) Saturday for a 4:30 p.m. face-off in Westminster, Maryland.
Morrisville State College western rider, Catherine Howland (Rutlandtown, VT) capped off a stellar riding season with a top five finish in three class competitions over the weekend at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Western National Championships held in Raleigh, North Carolina. Howland claimed third place overall in the open individual reining class and followed with a fifth place finish in open individual horsemanship.
