Morrisville State College will host Ag Day on April 18.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Most events will be held in the academic quad (in front of Marshall Hall).
Participants can learn more about agriculture, see horses, dairy cows, sheep and goats, take a hay ride around campus, and sample Morrisville State College's homemade ice cream during the annual event. There will also be face painting.

Visiting Morrisville State College softball collected their first win of the 2013 season, topping host Wells College 7-3 in the first of Sunday’s doubleheader action, before falling 12-4 in the second.
Morrisville State (1-9, 1-3 NEAC) heads into their next double Wednesday at Cazenovia.

The Morrisville State College women’s lacrosse team dominated the field this weekend, sweeping back-to-back conference action with a convincing 23-7 win over host Penn State Abington Sunday afternoon in Abington.
The Mustangs, who are the defending North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) champions, and have their eyes set on another title this season, improve to 3-5 overall, 2-0 in NEAC play.

Morrisville State College men’s lacrosse posted their second straight North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory, cruising to a 18-5 win over host Wells College Saturday afternoon in Aurora.
The win pulls the Mustangs to 3-5 overall, 3-1 in NEAC play. Wells continues to look for their first win and drop to 0-7 overall, 0-3 in the conference.

Host Morrisville State College softball fell in their 2013 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) home opener by 6-0 and 10-1 finals to nearby SUNYIT Saturday afternoon in Morrisville.
The Mustangs drop to 0-8 overall on the season, 0-2 in conference play, while the Wildcats improve to 8-2, 2-0 overall in the NEAC.

Visiting Morrisville State College women’s lacrosse used a triple offensive threat to hand host College of St. Elizabeth a 19-6 conference loss Saturday afternoon in Morristown.
With the win, Morrisville State improves to 2-5 overall, collecting their first win in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action, while the Screaming Eagles drop to 4-2 overall, 0-1 in NEAC play.

State Sen. David J. Valesky will address Morrisville State College students during the college's 102nd commencement ceremony May 18 at 1 p.m. in the recreation center.
Valesky, who represents the 53rd Senate District, comprised of Madison County and parts of Oneida and Onondaga counties, was elected to the New York State Senate in November 2004.

The SUNY Cobleskill men’s lacrosse team dropped their 2013 home opener on Thursday afternoon to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Morrisville State College by a 13-4 margin at Cobleskill’s Soccer/Lax Complex. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 2-3 overall on the season including a 0-2 mark in league action while the Mustangs improve to 2-5 overall with a 2-1 mark in NEAC play.

The Morrisville State College athletic department has named hunt seat equine rider, Amanda Varall (Bohemia, N.Y.) and men’s lacrosse goalkeeper Chris Fiore (Staten Island, N.Y.) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 30.
Varall claimed the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Zone II Region 3 Regional Title in the walk trot canter class on Saturday at Skidmore College, topping a competitive field of 14.

Contests scheduled for Wednesday, April 3 have been rescheduled as follows:
- Softball at Cazenovia College has been moved back to Wednesday, April 10 at 3 p.m.
- Men's lacrosse at SUNY Cobleskill has been moved back to Thursday, April 4 at 4 p.m.

The loss drops the Mustangs to 1-4 overall, while Canton improves to 4-3.
Shelby Wood (Duanesburg, N.Y.) and Cassie Edmondson (Oshawa, Ontario) each posted four goals to lead the Morrisville State efforts, while Megan Carlin (Pawling, N.Y.) added three tallies, and Kolleen Brown (Willet, N.Y.) one.

The Morrisville State College women’s softball team dropped two Friday evening, falling 8-0 and 14-1 in double header action on the road at Elmira College.
The loss drops the Mustangs to 0-6 overall on the season.
In the first of the day’s action, Eileen Farrell (Johnsonville, N.Y.) recorded the lone hit as Morrisville State dropped the 8-0 decision in six innings.

Morrisville State College will hold its first ever western horse sale on April 13 at the Nancy Sears Stowell Arena on Swamp Road. A preview/demonstration of sale horses begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by the sale at 1 p.m.
So far, approximately 20 reining, pleasure and hunter prospects are up for auction, including top consignments from the college's own western breaking and training program.

The Morrisville State College western equestrian team completed their 2012-13 season Saturday at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) national semi-finals in Syracuse.
The Mustangs finished fifth overall in team competition with 16 points, with team riders finishing in the top six spots in their respective classes. The University of Nebraska (27) edged out Ohio State University (26) for show championship honors.

The Morrisville State College women’s lacrosse team is taking a stand against domestic violence and throughout the month of April will be raising awareness and donations to assist the Vera House and One Love Foundation, organizations that provide assistance to victims of domestic violence.
