Morrisville State College will host Ag Day on May 1.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Most events will be held in the academic quad (in front of Marshall Hall).
Participants can see horses and dairy cows, learn more about agriculture and maple syrup, take a hay ride around campus and sample Morrisville State's homemade ice cream during the annual event.

Lisa Iannello, of New Berlin, has been named interim executive director at the Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College. She will also continue in her role as grant coordinator for Morrisville State.
In her new role, Iannello will be responsible for daily operations at the Norwich Campus while a search for a new executive director is under way.

More than 30 professionals from the collision repair industry recently attended a paint clinic for Axalta Coating Systems at Morrisville State's auto body facility.
Axalta Coating Systems, one of the largest coating companies in the world, provided opportunities for product representatives and others in the collision repair industry to paint, blend and test their newest product, Cromax ® MosaicTM, in the college's Garmat paint booth.

Morrisville State will host a fun Milk Run to benefit the experiential learning activities of the agricultural business and dairy science programs on Saturday, April 26.
The free event, a 5k run or walk, will begin at 10 a.m. in front of Bailey Hall. Registration is not required and runners of all abilities are encouraged to participate. Yogurt, milk and cheese will be served following the event.

The work of artist Diane Castle Babcock is on display at the Morrisville State Donald G. Butcher Library until April 1.
Babcock has been practicing the art of linoleum block printing for more than 20 years. Using a process called the reduction method, she cuts away from one block continually in order to create multiple color images.

Matt McDaniels stood calmly, his adrenaline racing as a masked man pointed a rifle at a tavern employee demanding money. After verbal commands to drop the weapon went unheeded, McDaniels quickly reached for the firearm in his holster and shot the gunman.

Three posted double figures for the Morrisville State College women’s basketball team on Wednesday night, but couldn’t get past visiting Wells College as they fell 55-46 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) competition.
With the loss, Morrisville State drops to 6-18 overall, 3-12 in conference play. Wells improves to 16-7, 11-3 in NEAC action.

The Morrisville State College western equestrian team completed the regular season Saturday, hosting two shows at the Swamp Road barn, and dominated the competition as they collected high point team honors in each show.
Morrisville State collected 36 team points in the morning show behind a high point rider performance from Rianna Nalepa (Endicott, N.Y.), who took home the blue ribbon in the open reining class, and a third place finish in the open western horsemanship class.

A trio of seniors paced host Morrisville State College to a 83-65 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win over visiting Wells College Wednesday night, lifting the Mustangs to a 15-8 overall record, 11-5 in conference play.
Center Tom Wilk (Cortland, N.Y.) led the Mustang charge with 19 points, adding five rebounds, while teammate Kucjok Ater (Syracuse, N.Y.) posted 14 points, adding a team high six rebounds and five assists to his tallies.

Morrisville State professor Sheila Marshman will be the keynote speaker during the 2014 New Hampshire Women in Agriculture Conference at the New Hampshire Farm & Forest Expo Feb. 7-8 in Manchester, NH.
Marshman, assistant professor of agricultural business, will discuss the role of women in agriculture and strategies for areas of risk management during her presentation titled, “One Million Strong and Growing.”
