Fall 2020 Return to Campus – Office Hours and Availability

As we approach the start of the fall semester, we will share a series of messages to ensure that you have answers to as many of your questions as possible. Please see below information regarding important updates to campus office hours and availability. The complete return-to-campus plan, which has received approval from SUNY and meets New York State Department of Health's Reopening New York Higher Education Guidelines, is available on our Fall 2020 Reopening Plans and Updates webpage. Please recognize that all plans are still subject to change due to new information, guidance or direction from the state.

We greatly appreciate your acceptance and understanding of the changes being implemented, with the health and safety of the campus community at the forefront of all decisions. As a reminder, for the safety of yourself and the campus community, a mask or face covering is required when in all public spaces.

Student Health Center

The Student Health Center has suspended all walk-in services for the semester. Students must call 315.684.6078 to schedule an appointment for either Health Services, which is offering in-person and telehealth visits, or Counseling Services, which is providing telehealth visits with limited face-to-face visits. Upon arriving to the Health Center for a scheduled appointment, students should call 315.684.6078 to be allowed entry into the building. 

Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid is accepting virtual appointments, phone calls and emails only. All virtual appointments can be scheduled online. The office also can be reached at 315.684.6289 or finaid@morrisville.edu.

Student Accounts

The Office of Student Accounts is available to answer any billing-related questions and can also accept payments by phone. To set up a virtual meeting, or arrange a face-to-face appointment, please schedule online through the office’s bookings webpage. The office also can be reached at 315.684.6069 or StudentAccts@morrisville.edu.

Registrar

The Office of the Registrar staff will have limited in-person office hours and are available to meet with students by appointment only. Please email registrar@morrisville.edu to schedule an in-person, phone or virtual appointment.

Any paperwork needing to be delivered to the Registrar can be sent via email at registrar@morrisville.edu, or can be placed in the drop box located to the left of the office entrance on the third floor of the Whipple Administration Building.

Campuswide Advising

The Office of Campuswide Advising is accepting visitors by appointment only. Virtual appointments can be scheduled online and in-person appointments can be made by emailing advising@morrisville.edu or calling 315.684.6335. Campuswide Advising also can be reached through its virtual lobby, which can be accessed by logging into Microsoft Teams and typing “advising” into the search field.

Residence Life

The Office of Residence Life is accepting virtual appointments, phone calls and emails only. Virtual appointments with Residence Life Director Elizabeth Ackman can be scheduled online.

Human Resources

The Office of Human Resources is accepting requests and inquiries through email, virtual meetings or by phone during the office hours of 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. If an office visit is needed, please contact humanresources@morrisville.edu to make an appointment.

Library

The Donald G. Butcher Library will reopen Monday, Aug. 24. Limited study spaces and printing services are available, and group study rooms remain closed. To schedule an appointment with a librarian, or learn more about open hours, online reference services and other available resources, please visit the college library webpage.

  • Other offices housed within the Library:
    • The Tutoring Center has tutors available by appointment through Starfish, with sessions occurring online through Microsoft Teams. Drop-in tutoring will only be offered through NightOWL Onliine Tutoring. Please visit the Tutoring Center webpage or email TutoringCenter@morrisville.edu for more information and assistance.
    • The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) strongly encourages students to schedule an appointment with their EOP counselor. A designated waiting area outside of the EOP office has been established for all walk-ins, and can accommodate up to four students wearing masks and practicing proper physical distancing.

Campus Help Desk & Technology Services

The Help Desk has resumed normal operating hours of 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Safeguards have been implemented for the health of the public and the Technology Services staff. Walk-ins are welcome; no appointment necessary. A support ticket also can be submitted by emailing TSTickets@morrisville.edu.

Student Activities

The Office of Student Activities will allow one person with a face covering in the office at a time. Appointments can be set up online with Student Activities Director Rita Goyette or Assistant Director Marc Cianciola. The office also can be reached by phone at 315.684.6238 or emailing the office staff.

MAC Services

For updated procedures regarding services provided by the Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation (MAC), including dining services, the Campus Store, the Tech Center and college ID services, please visit the MAC webpage.

Wearing a mask and practicing physical distancing, wherever possible, are the best way to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Students and employees are required to wear face coverings when in all public spaces, and whenever physical distancing cannot be maintained.
