Junior midfielder, Hillary Hartnett (Fairport, NY) tallied a collegiate high seven goals and an assist to lead visiting Morrisville State College women's lacrosse to a 19-3 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win over Penn State Abington Sunday afternoon in Abington.
Morrisville State nets their second straight victory, improving to 2-4 overall, 2-0 in NEAC action, while Abington drops to 0-5.

The Morrisville State College women's lacrosse team picked up their first win of the season, handing conference opponent, College of St. Elizabeth, an 18-4 defeat Saturday afternoon in Raritan, New Jersey.

The Morrisville State College softball team opened North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Saturday afternoon, with a 9-4 and 14-9 sweep of the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers in Cobleskill.
The wins boost the Mustangs to 5-5 overall, 2-0 in NEAC action. Cobleskill drops to 0-6 overall, 0-4 in conference play.

The relationships between society, technology and music will be the focus of Morrisville State College's fifth annual Science Technology and Society Symposium, “Technomusia: Science, Technology and Music,” taking place all day Thursday, April 21 in the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC). It is free and open to the public.

Morrisville State College will be discontinuing its sponsorship of men's wrestling as an intercollegiate sport effective the 2011-2012 academic year, according to Greg Carroll, the college's director of athletics. Carroll said the decision to drop wrestling came after careful consideration of all aspects of the sport's place within the colleges' National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Department.

The Morrisville State College athletic department has named men's lacrosse attackman, Thomas Owens (Cazenovia, NY) the Mustang Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 27.
Owens led the Mustangs to a 2-0 week, including a 14-13 upset victory over SUNY Potsdam in overtime on Tuesday. On the week, he tallied seven goals on nine shots, three assists, and five individual ground balls.

The Morrisville State College western equestrian team finished third at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) semi-finals to advance to the National Championships in May.
University of Findlay was the show's high point team, followed by Utah State University with 25 points, and Morrisville with 24. CalPoly-San Luis Obispo, University of Minnesota, Centenary, University of Florida and Cincinnati rounded out the final scoring of teams.

The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team completed regular season competition Saturday as the reserve high point team for the season, after earning reserve team honors for the sixth time at the Morrisville State College show on Saturday.
Skidmore won the IHSA show with 47 points, followed by Morrisville with 42, Hartwick 31, Colgate 28, Cobleskill 23, Oneonta 23, RPI 17, Siena 17, and Albany 15.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team began the road to defending last years conference championship title, handing Keuka College a decisive 15-10 defeat in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Saturday afternoon on Drake Field in Morrisville.
Morrisville State improves to 4-1 overall, 1-0 in conference play. Keuka drops to 1-4, 0-1 in NEAC action.

Morrisville State College will host Ag Day on April 14.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Most events will be held in the academic quad (in front of Marshall Hall).
Participants can learn more about agriculture, pet a calf, guess the weight of a horse, walk through a hay maze, take a hay ride around campus, and sample Morrisville State College's homemade ice cream during the annual event.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse program has teamed up with the Wounded Warriors Project (WWP), Saturday, April 16 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action against Medaille College, to raise awareness about the program which helps injured service members returning home from battle.

The Morrisville State College athletic department has named short stop, Jessica Rigg (Homer, NY) the Mustang Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 20.
Rigg was instrumental to the softball team's 3-5 opening week record, tallying six hits and six runs in 17 at bats. She recorded three RBI's on a double and triple hit, and had three stolen bases.
Rigg also accounted for nine put outs and 11 assists.

Morrisville State College senior defenseman, Derek Matheson (Durham, ONT) signed a professional playing contract Wednesday afternoon with the Texas Brahmas in the Central Hockey League.
Texas is currently ranked second in the CHL's Berry Conference, and have clinched a play-off berth.

The Morrisville State College athletic department has named men's lacrosse senior attack man, Adam Lewis (Painted Post, NY) the Mustang Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 13.
Lewis was involved in five of eight scores on Saturday to lead Morrisville State past Brockport 8-7. In the contest, he tallied four goals and assisted another, including the game winner in the victory to keep Morrisville State undefeated at 2-0.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team fell short Wednesday night, dropping an 11-9 decision to Alfred University in Alfred.
The loss is Morrisville State's first of the season (2-1). Alfred remains undefeated at 5-0.
Alfred led 9-4 heading into the fourth quarter before the Mustangs rallied for five unanswered tallies in the final stance, but fell short as the Saxons collected the non-conference win.

Morrisville State drops to 2-2 overall.
Pikeville tallied five unanswered runs in the opening inning and added two others in fourth, before capping off the day with a final run in the fifth for the non-conference win.

Morrisville State College freshman pitcher, Jenna D'Ercole (Highland, NY) recorded her first win on the mound, throwing a no-hitter, as the Mustangs handed Hilbert College the 8-0 loss in five innings at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
D'Ercole struck out five in the win, throwing five innings for Morrisville State, as the Mustangs improve to 2-1 on the season.

Keystone took the opener, 3-1, on two home run hits by Samantha Hartmann (Red Bank, NJ).
