The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced the Sportsmanship and Inspirational Award winners for the 2010-11 year, naming Morrisville State College's Thomas Longland (Dunnville, ONT) the recipient of the Individual Sportsmanship Award. “We're excited for such a significant honor to have been bestowed on Tom. He really exemplifies everything you would want in a college athlete,” said Greg Carroll, Morrisville State's Director of Athletics.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) recently announced its 2010-11 NEAC Scholar-Athlete recipients, naming 17 Morrisville State College student-athletes to the academic honor list. To be named a scholar-athlete, students must achieve a GPA of 3.4 or higher for the fall and spring semesters combined while participating in a NEAC sponsored sport. Eleven Morrisville State College ice hockey student-athletes recently received academic honors from the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), as announced by conference commissioner Patrick Damore, earning all-Academic Team and Commissioner's List honors.

Morrisville State College will host a developmental lacrosse clinic for high school level players Thursday nights, starting June 9th. The clinic will run June 9, 16, July 14, 21, 28 and August 4 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. on Drake Field on the Morrisville State campus. These clinics are designed for players who are looking to excel and develop their game at the collegiate level. The primary focus will be on training and development of high school players.

On Friday, June 10, 2011, Morrisville State College will honor the 2001-02 National Championship Men's Ice Hockey team and former field hockey standout LeeAnne Weigand with induction into the Athletics Wall of Fame as the Class of 2011.

The State University of New York Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher recently announced the winners of the 2010-11 Chancellor's Scholar Athlete Award, honoring 75 students from across the SUNY System, including Morrisville State College's Jonathan Fried (Jordan, NY) in the sport of men's lacrosse. The award was created to recognize academic excellence along with outstanding athletic achievement.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team has earned a spot in the 2011 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship, announced Monday afternoon. The tournament is a two-region, five-team bracket.

Morrisville State College hunt seat rider, Teal Pedersen (Manorville, NY) placed fourth overall in the intermediate equitation over fences class at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championships held in Lexington, Kentucky Thursday. Pederson initially placed third at the Zone Championships in the class, but due to an ineligible rider, she moved up to second place and earned the chance to compete for a national title.

Senior goalkeeper, Brett Leonard (Syracuse, NY) made 23 saves, including eight in the final frame, to lead second seed Keuka College men's lacrosse to an 8-7 victory over top seeded Morrisville State College in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Tournament final Saturday afternoon in Morrisville. Morrisville State drops to 12-4 overall while Keuka concluded their season with a 10-5 record.

Morrisville State (12-3) will face second seed Keuka College for the championship tournament title in Morrisville at 3 p.m. Keuka defeated Cobleskill 13-2 Wednesday in Keuka.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team concluded their regular season with a 9-4 non-conference victory over visiting Vassar College Friday night in Morrisville. The Mustangs improve to 11-3 overall while Vassar drops to 5-9. Morrisville State led 3-1 at the half before posting three goals apiece in the third and fourth quarters to claim the win.

Third seed Morrisville State College softball team split the first round of North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Friday, falling 3-0 to second seed SUNY IT before edging fourth seed Cazenovia 5-4. Morrisville State improves to 15-14 with the wins and advances to play top seed Keuka College Saturday at 12 p.m.

The Mustangs claimed the regular season title for the second time with an undefeated NEAC record of 6-0, are the top seed in the tournament for the second straight year, and look to defend their 2010 NEAC Championship Title.

The Mustangs completed the regular season with a 15-13 overall record and posted a program best 12-4 NEAC record.

The Alfred University women's lacrosse team's 2011 season finale, Tuesday evening, April 26, at home against Morrisville State, was postponed due to poor weather. The game was stopped due to heavy rain and lightning. The stoppage came 52 seconds into the contest with Morrisville leading 1-0. No decision has been made on whether or not the contest will be made up.    

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team rolled to a 20-9 victory over host Wells College in Aurora Monday afternoon, claiming their second straight regular season conference title with a perfect record. The Mustangs take the title for the second straight season with an undefeated North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) record at 6-0, while improving their overall record to 10-3.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team, together with the Morrisville and surrounding communities, raised more than $2,800 Saturday, April 16th for the Wounded Warrior Project, raising awareness about the program which helps injured service members returning home from battle.
