The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team posted a team total 30 points to place third overall in a field of 10 competitors Saturday at the Skidmore College Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Invitational held in Saratoga Springs. Skidmore claimed top show honors topping the field with 47 points, while Hartwick claimed reserve honors with 33 team points.
Devon Rice registered a goal and assisted on another to lead the visiting SUNY Geneseo Knights to a 4-1 victory over the host Morrisville State Mustangs in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) hockey action Saturday night in Morrisville. With the win, Geneseo improves to 6-4-1 overall and 5-1-1 in conference play, while the Mustangs drop to 1-11-1 overall and 1-7 in SUNYAC action.
Freshman defender Anthony Scornaienchi (Stoney Creek, Ont.) registered two goals and assisted one to lead host Morrisville State College to a 5-4 come from behind victory over the visiting SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) hockey action Friday night in Morrisville. The win is the first for the Mustangs in 2012, as they improve to 1-10-1 overall, 1-6 in conference play, while the Golden Eagles drop to 3-8-1, 3-4 in SUNYAC action.
Junior guard Jailaan Kinsey (Syracuse, N.Y.) netted a team high 13 points as host Morrisville State College men’s basketball topped visiting SUNY ESF 93-34 in non-conference action in Morrisville. The win boosts the Mustangs to 3-2 overall, while ESF, a first year program, falls to 0-5. Kinsey tallied three from beyond the arc, while three additional teammates posted double figures, including Rhamel Williams (Bronx, N.Y.) and Ryan Jameson (Greenwich, N.Y.) who each tallied 11.  
Morrisville State College offensive guard, Tim Hammond (Hudson Falls, N.Y.) has been selected to play in the inaugural Dream Bowl, January 21, 2013 in Roanoke, Va. The College Football All-Star Game is a showcase of the best NCAA Division III and NAIA players from across the nation. The game and series of events are a celebration of the excellence, commitment and sacrifice made by the players and their families.
The Morrisville State College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) in conjunction with the college’s CSTEP  program will be hosting a “Be the Match” Bone Marrow Drive, Thursday, Nov. 29. The effort is designed to connect patients suffering with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma or other diseases, with a donor match for a life-saving marrow transplant. Every year, 10,000 patients need a marrow transplant from an unrelated donor, but only half receive one.
The Morrisville State College men’s basketball team used a late 14-3 second half run to top visiting Keystone College 94-90 Tuesday night in non-conference action in Morrisville. The victory pulls the Mustangs even at 2-2, while Keystone drops to 1-3 overall.
Morrisville State College's Anthony Scornaienchi (Stoney Creek, Ontario) scored an unassisted goal with 3.4 seconds remaining in the third period to salvage a 3-3 tie with Hamilton College in a non-conference game at Hamilton’s Russell Sage Rink on Nov. 27.
Visiting SUNY Potsdam women’s basketball forced 29 turnovers cruising to a 61-34 victory over host Morrisville State College Sunday afternoon in Morrisville. The loss drops the Mustangs to 0-4 overall, while Potsdam improves to 1-3. Three posted double figures for the Bears, including Katy Briedis who had a team high 15 points, including three from beyond the arc. Bailey Weigel and Jessica Kouzan each added 12, with Weigel adding seven rebounds to her tallies along with three assists and five steals.
Steve Dol (Ingersoll, Ontario) scored the lone Mustang goal as visiting Morrisville State College men’s ice hockey dropped a 4-1  decision to Curry College at the Skidmore College Thanksgiving Classic, held Friday night in Saratoga Springs. Morrisville State has yet to notch a win in the 2012 season, falling to 0-9 overall on the season.
