The college will be part of the 2010 International Game Developers Association (IGDA) Global Game Jam (GGJ) that takes place all over the world Jan. 29-31, hosting teams on its campus for the first time.

It was the first time he had lived away from home. Frank Malpigli packed a suitcase filled with clothes, a toothbrush and soccer ball and headed off to college.
The Long Island native knew little about Morrisville State College, the place in Central New York where he would spend the next two years amassing a lifetime of unforgettable memories.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be arriving in the village of Morrisville on Dec. 4 for the annual Christmas tree lighting and carol sing.
The free event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Crouse Community Center on South Street. The campus and village are invited to participate in the event, which will be held regardless of local weather-related school closings.

Twelve candidates from all over the world spent four days at Morrisville State College performing testing on the college's horses to become certified by the International Association of Equine Dentistry (IAED).

Eight students from the Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College have been recognized for their participation in a community service project.
The students were all part of a food drive to benefit Roots and Wings, a non-profit organization that helps the needy in the local Norwich community.

The Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) recently released its pre-season weight class individual rankings, selecting Morrisville State College sophomore wrestler, Wheeler Brunschmid (Sherburne, NY/Sherburne-Earlville) fifth in the 184 pound weight class.
Brunschmid finished last season with a 12-13 overall record, recording one technical fall, two major decisions and three pins in his freshman campaign.

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—Morrisville State College’s Renewable Energy Training Center (RETC) is hosting a two-day workshop on Small-Scale Biodiesel Production and Diesel Vehicle Veggie Conversion, June 11-12 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Morrisville State College RETC in Shannon Hall.
The workshop is an introduction to small-scale batch biodiesel production and diesel automobile modifications for all-season use of waste vegetable oil and biodiesel.

The Morrisville State College women's soccer team fought to a 0-0 tie against SUNY Cobleskill this evening in conference play. The Mustangs are now to 1-4-1 overall and 0-3-1 in conference play, while the Fighting Tigers are now 2-4-2 overall and 1-1-2 in the NEAC.
Both teams had several opportunities to score, but strong defensive play and goaltending on both ends kept the game scoreless.
Jody Pendergast (Phoenix, N.Y.) records the tie for Cobleskill, tallying six saves.
