Morrisville State men's basketball team pulled off a 66-60 upset over SUNYIT today in Morrisville in North Eastern Athletic Conference action.
Trailing by two at the half, Morrisville State outshot the Wildcats a season best 52 percent compared to SUNYIT's 30.6 percent from the floor in the second half, posting 35 points en route to the victory.

The Mustangs women's basketball team fell to the SUNYIT Wildcats 69-42 today in Morrisville.
Tied at 26 at the break, SUNYIT started the second half with a 15-2 run in the first six minutes of play, outscoring the Mustangs 43-16 in the final twenty.

D3hoops.com announced yesterday its Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, naming Morrisville State College freshman forward/center, Nijah Townsend (Bronx, NY) to its women's team.
The Team of the Week is a weekly honor roll in its 14th season that recognizes the top performance at each of the five playing positions in basketball from the previous week.

The Morrisville State College western equestrian team posted 18 top place finishes Saturday as they swept competition with two show wins on December 4 at the Morrisville arena.
In the morning show, Morrisville State posted 10 blue ribbons in five classes to claim high point team honors with 35 points. Cobleskill was reserve high point team with 26.

The Morrisville State College men's basketball team dropped to 2-5 overall, 1-2 in conference action, as SUNY Cobleskill picked up the 70-46 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory Wednesday night in Cobleskill.
Morrisville State trailed 35-24 at the break before being outscored by 13 in the second half in the loss.

The Morrisville State College women's basketball team staged a last minute comeback attempt, but fell short Wednesday night to host SUNY Cobleskill, in a 59-54 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game in Cobleskill.
The women trailed by 16 with two minutes remaining on the clock before hitting four straight scores, three from behind the arc, to cut the lead to five, but fell short on time as the Fighting Tigers picked up the win.

Morrisville State College hockey extended their record to 5-3-1 overall behind two scores from junior Geoff Matzel (Chittenango, NY) as the Mustangs downed host SUNY Fredonia 2-1 in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action Saturday night in Fredonia.
The win bumps the Mustangs to a 5-2-1 conference record while Fredonia drops to 3-8-0 overall, 3-5 in SUNYAC play.

Morrisville State College sophomore, Henry Petry (Waverly, NY) posted a third place finish in the heavyweight class to lead the Mustangs to a sixth place team finish at the RIT Invitational Saturday in Rochester.
Cortland State won the invitational with 148.5 points, followed by Wesleyan with 103, Oswego 94.5, Baldwin Wallace 94, John Carroll 84, Morrisville State 52.5, Case Western 44.5, Kings 27, and RIT with 17.

The Morrisville State College men's basketball team trailed by just three at the half before host Hartwick College came out with a 42 point second half to hand the Mustangs the 75-56 non-conference loss Saturday afternoon in Oneonta.
Morrisville State shot 41.7 percent from the floor in the contest, but only nailed two of 10 shots from behind the arc as Hartwick tallied eight three's on the afternoon.

Morrisville State raced out to a 44-29 halftime lead, shooting a season best 61.3 percent from the floor in the first, heading into the locker room with three already in double digits.
